Past and Future

On 02/02/2002 Greg Shepherd began trading as Photowrap.

An important part at the start of business was selecting the paper, and it was chosen using these criteria:

Part FSC* accredited part recycled, to give strength with the virgin fibers and promote reuse of old paper pulp.
Carbon positive. Of course it is, paper is made of trees, but they still have to be grown and processed responsibly.
Not too heavily coated. To minimize the use of china clay, and minimize the ink cracking when it is creased.
These gift-wrap and cards have been printed a the same printers since Photowrap started; they are local, FSC accredited and use vegetable based inks.

Everything that can be is reused or recycled, packing paper and card is even collected from local businesses, so it is no surprise that in 2009 Photowrap was awarded an Environmentally Aware Trading certificate.

In July 2018 Greg Shepherd started importing interdental brushes from Pierrot, Spain. Every one of these bought will result in a better tooth care experience for the user, as well as reducing the amount of discarded short-lived inter dental brushes made by other companies.

Our business goal is to spread as much joy as possible; such as someone’s grandmother receiving a present wrapped in Sewing Box or Forget-me-nots, or Dad getting his socks wrapped in Gnomes or Plant Pots.

Ravensburger has a selection of jigsaw puzzles using other photographs by Greg Shepherd, look out for the “Perplexing Puzzles” range.
